While Chris was in seminary working on his M.Div. we knew God was calling us to military missions. It was during this time that God reminded Chris of his years being a youth under Cadence's Student Ministry while he was in Germany. After graduation in May of 2008, we were accepted as Cadence Missionaries. We are self supporter missionaries, meaning we have to raise our funding. After 2 years of raising a minimal amount of money, we knew God wanted us to do something bold. So, in May of 2010 we put all our belongings into storage, Chris left all 3 of his part-time jobs, and we began traveling the states with our 4 children. We camped along the way and had many adventures that you can read about on our ministry website (see above). We wanted to visit different churches, individuals and communities to raise our support and share the message of Cadence - Exalting Christ in the nations through the transformed lives of military people. Since that time we have now raised 75% of our support. We have recently moved into the parsonage at the Soldier's Hospitality House in Fort Hood, TX. We are still in the process of raising the last of our support and have The 5th Annual Hospitality House Fundraising Banquet planned for October 11th.
