Fort Hood Fund Established
Friday, November 13, 2009

In the aftermath of the tragedy that occurred on November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, Texas, we have been receiving many inquiries on how can people assist the community there. As the shock of these events begin to subside, there will be ongoing needs for healing that only the Savior can bring. Fortunately Cadence has nine staff members at Fort Hood ministering the Love of Christ for such a time as this.
We would first ask that you pray for the following Cadence staff that the Lord has strategically placed to minister there:
Because of the terrific loss, the ministry needs in the Fort Hood community will be expanding. Here are a few examples of the expansion of ministry that are being met by the Fort Hood team:
Hospitality House Ministry
- Cadence staff is providing local transportation to families of the victims.
- The Cadence Hospitality Houses are on the Chaplain list of housing resources for those affected.
Mobile Coffee Ministry
- This ongoing ministry at the Warriors Transition Center could be expanded to meet the growing need in the community.
Military Children’s Ministry
- We are purchasing and distributing Child Evangelism Fellowship’s “Wonder Why” booklet that provides biblical answers to tough questions to the children at Ft. Hood.
Fort Hood Fund
To help meet the financial needs of these expanding ministries a Cadence International “Fort Hood Fund” has been established. Donations that are given to this account will be utilized to help advance the ministries at Ft. Hood and will be distributed at the discretion of our leadership team based on specific needs and requests. To make a tax deductible gift to the Fort Hood Fund please
