In the past thirty-plus years we have spent eight years in youth work and twenty-plus years in the pastorate serving people by sharing God’s Word and sharing our lives. Some of our most enjoyable and fruitful ministry has been with the young singles and young marrieds groups we started in those churches. Add to that the literal hundreds and hundreds of people who have enjoyed Cindy’s fabulous cooking and our love of practicing hospitality, and it is easy to see how God has prepared us for Hospitality House ministry!

During that time we also raised four kids that we greatly love and of whom we are very proud.  Our oldest Anna and AJ (her husband) have blessed us with our two grandchildren—Moriah and Jocelyn. They are ministering in Germany with Cadence Student Ministries doing youth work with the teens on the Ramstein Air Base. Will married Kayla—a wonderful gal—on July 16th, 2011; he works construction and is working toward serving at a fire department. Bethany is married to Ben Myers—neat guy—and she works in a bridal shop in downtown Portland, and Jonathan spends his time working two jobs at the Portland Airport, and has moved in with some of his friends which he enjoys.

Now with your prayer and financial support,  we look forward to this exciting new ministry sharing Christ through His Word and our lives with the men and women of the Army 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team in Vicenza, Italy.
