While Darl taught school in a Denver suburb, we were part of a weekly OCSC prayer group for five years. For the first time in our lives we saw God answer so many specific prayers. God put it in our hearts that we could also open our hearts and home and share His love with servicemen and women. September 1, 1967, the Goodes – Darl, Jan, Gwen (6 years old), and Scott (3 years old), arrived in Thailand. The following year Bruce was born, completing our family.

1975–1978 Fellowship Ranch, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO
1979–1996 Huachuca Hospitality House, Ft. Huachuca, AZ

It has been an incredible journey. Our family of five has grown to sixteen – eight adults and eight grandchildren. God has richly blessed us through the men and women who have spent time in our home. We are now retired, living near the Huachuca Hospitality House.
