Biography of Bob and Ruth Ann
Before joining Cadence, Bob and Ruth Ann were living in Asheville, NC, working with Helps International Ministries. Prior to that, they lived in Alaska for 10 years and worked with SEND International and Anchorage YFC. Bob and Ruth Ann met at a Christian singles retreat in Alaska in 1990 and were married the following year. God has blessed them with three wonderful boys -- David, Michael and Nathan.
Bob was born and raised in a Christian home in Kalamazoo, MI. Shortly after joining the USAF in 1972, Bob accepted Christ as his Savior at a crusade. Three years later, through the OCSC/Cadence Hospitality House at Ramstein AB, Germany, Bob made a total commitment of his life to serve wherever God might direct him. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University and also attended Florida Bible College.
Ruth Ann grew up in a Christian home in Willmar, MN. She accepted Christ as a young girl. Her family was very active in a local church that was very missions-minded. During high school and college, she went on two short-term missions trips. Ruth Ann has an undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a graduate degree in Business. She is home schooling their three sons.
