The Ingalls' Story
In 1977, as a young Marine, Larry was led to Christ through the persistent Christian witness of a fellow Marine named Wayne. Larry's conversion to Christ was in his own words a "radical, life-changing event. I am eternally thankful for Wayne's unwavering testimony to me at such a pivotal time in my life."
While stationed overseas Larry was introduced to a network of missionary families who lived all throughout Asia and ministered to him and his fellow Marines wherever they were deployed. Through these missionaries' pastoral care and discipleship, Larry's fledgling faith was strengthened and equipped so he too could be a strong witness to his fellow Marines. These missionaries were all members of Cadence International. This is where Larry gained his burden and passion for ministry to our military.
During his last year in the Corps, Larry and Linda met at church. While a student at Biola University, Linda also felt the Lord leading her to the mission field. Larry and Linda were married in 1983.
Larry and Linda were appointed as missionaries with Cadence in 1985. Since then the Ingalls have ministered to the Army and Air Force in the Panama Canal Zone and to the Navy's 7th fleet sailors while living in Yokosuka, Japan.
This December the Ingalls completed a six year tenure of service at Cadence International headquarters where Larry served in mission leadership. They are now preparing for their next assignment which is to begin a new hospitality house ministry for the 19,000 soldiers and their families who live and serve at Fort Riley Army Post in eastern Kansas. Through an open home hospitality ministry style they hope to touch many soldiers and their families with the life-transforming power of the Gospel of Christ.
The Ingalls have three children -- Daniel, Christina, and Sarah.
Would you prayerfully consider partnering with the Ingalls so they can "go" once more and minister to our military at Fort Riley?
