Rear Admiral Curtis A. Kemp, USN, (Ret.)
Curt Kemp is a 1972 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. After graduation, he served for 34 years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy. He served in the Vietnam War and in the first Gulf War, Desert Storm. During Desert Storm, he commanded a Navy destroyer that launched more Tomahawk missile strikes than any other ship. During his Navy career, he had the privilege to command a ship, a squadron of ships, and an aircraft carrier Strike Group. Additionally, he held two command positions of shore organizations. He retired from the Navy in 2006. Curt moved to Leesburg, Virginia in 2007 and served as Chief Operating Officer of Prison Fellowship Ministries from May 2007 to October 2010. He has been married to Ann Parsons Kemp since 1974. Ann is a part-time fitness instructor. They have two adult children, Ian and Casey, who are both married and are part of Navy families. Curt’s hobbies include golf, jogging, tennis, and garden helper. Curt and Ann are active members of Cornerstone Chapel. Additionally, Curt serves on the board of Cadence International and is a member of Rotary International.
