Cadence International

Lands of Russia

In the lands of the former Soviet Union, military personnel have no chaplains and little spiritual guidance. But now, through Cadence, you can help address this need. Cadence supports twenty-seven workers and their families who share the gospel with military people and their families. They lead Bible studies and teach about trusting in Christ. Several churches have been organized in military villages adjacent to military bases, and a few of them have already acquired their own houses of prayer (we would say “church buildings”).

In 1995 and 1996, former Cadence General Director Dave Meschke visited Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, forming a partnership between Cadence International and the largest evangelical church body in these nations, the Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists (UECB). Selecting former military men with Biblical training and a desire to impact their own military forces with the gospel, the UECB appoints them to military ministry. Donors through Cadence then support them financially and in prayer.

Support for a national worker and his family varies from $150 to $250 per month, yet some workers are not fully supported. Financial gifts in any amount are appreciated. Checks should be made payable to Cadence International and sent to P.O. Box 1268, Englewood, Colorado 80150. If you plan to give monthly, indicate that on a separate note and your support will be assigned to a specific worker. For further information, contact Dave Meschke, 6763 S. High Street, Littleton, CO 80122. Telephone: (303) 794-0095. E-mail: dave.meschke@cadence.org
