Below are the steps you can take to update your profile so that all of us at Cadence can see who you are and connect with you easily.  You can upload your latest update letter, share your blog URL, upload a picture of yourself, and share your bio information.  Even though it seems like a lot to do now, with time you will be able to do this at the speed of light, so take heart and have fun.  If you need additional help feel free to e-mail us here.  Lets begin!

Step 1:  Go to the home page in a different window (click here) and find the link for the log-in page. 

 

Now you should be at the home page in a different window and clicking back and forth to see what steps to take next.  From the home page you have two options.  The first is to scroll to the bottom and click the "missionary and staff login" link.  That should look like this.

 

 

For the next couple weeks you can click the button on the right side of the homepage, but once that is removed you will need to go to the bottom and click “missionary and staff login”.

 

Now that you have clicked that link your screen should look like this.

Step 2: Log into your Cadence account to modify your profile.

 

On the login screen you need to put in your e-mail given to you by Cadence.  Also enter your password here (this should be in the password sent to you or a password you already created).  then click “login”.

 

If you put in your information correctly, your screen will automatically go to the home page.  Scroll to the bottom and on the right side you should see your name and two links to the right: "profile" and "logout".  If you see these two links, congratulations!  You have successfully logged into you profile on the new website.  Now, to edit your profile click "Profile".

Step 3: Begin modifying your Cadence account by changing your password.

Now you should see a screen like this.  Start by changing your password, and then we will start doing the fun stuff like adding your picture.  To change your password, put in your new password and then enter it again to confirm.  Then click "change" to make sure it changes in the system.



If you changed your password correctly your screen should have a confirmation message on it.



Step 4: Change the content of your profile.  (this is the fun part!!)

On the same screen that has the confirmation of the password change, if you scroll down a little, you should see your assigned missionaries.  You should be "assigned" to yourself! You should see your name here.  If so, click "edit" under your name.



Now you should see a screen that looks like this: with your name at the top.  We are looking at my profile on this tutorial, so imagine your name instead and if that is what is there, hooray!  You are about to change your information.  Start filling in the blanks like the pictures describe. 





When you click browse to find the file on your computer, the screen should have a "file upload" box (or something similar)  that pops up (see the pic above).  This box is helping you search through the files on your computer.  Once you find where you keep your update letters in your file, click "open".  As you can see I have selected my "PersonalNewsLetterFebruary2008".  Once you select your file and go back to the profile page remember to click "upload".

Now you can scroll down and tell your bio.  Also you can submit a picture of yourself.  Follow the instructions on the picture below to do those things.  A picture has already been uploaded for you. You don't have to upload another one if you don't want to.



After you have made your profile your own, entered a picture, and shared your bio, click "submit"! 

Now you should see the "profile" screen like before.  Under your name click "preview" to make sure that you like what you have changed. 



Another screen should pop up with your picture and other information you just changed.  This is the screen that other missionaries and staff from Cadence will see when they go to your "profile".  Here is a picture of mine. 



Since I like everything on my profile, I am all done.  And if you like yours, then you are done too!  Congratulations, now you are officially updated in the Cadence system.  You can search for other missionaries and view their blogs, etc...
