David and Joyce have been married since 1988. David and Joyce have been with Cadence since 1987, and David became President of Cadence in 1995.


Biography of David

David was born and raised with his five siblings on the mission field of northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia.  His parents ministered to the lumbermen and fishermen of a remote lumber town called Tahsis.  His teen years were spent in Washington State.  David is a graduate of Multnomah Bible College and Grace Theological Seminary.  He is currently serving in his fourteenth year as President of Cadence International. David and his wife, Joyce, have been married 23 years.  Prior to this current leadership assignment, David and Joyce served for ten years in Germany with Cadence’s ministry to military dependent youth called Malachi Ministries.  David and Joyce have four children: Kerith (Nineteen—bold and beautiful), Justin (Seventeen—wise and witty), Kyrie (Twelve—creative and compassionate), and Jonathan (Ten—demonstrative and daring).  The Schroeder family resides two miles from the Cadence Headquarters in Englewood, Colorado.
 
David deeply loves being a child of God, a warrior for His kingdom, a husband, father, friend, and leader.  David also enjoys good humor, Colorado skiing and golfing, basketball, softball, all things related to spending time with his family, good movies, Rock and Roll, and watching God paint incredible sunsets over the Rocky Mountains while sitting on his front deck enjoying a perfectly brewed cup of German or Starbucks coffee.
