About Rick & Jan Utecht

Rick received Christ as his Savior as a high school student and Jan accepted Christ at the age of 23. We have been married nearly 30 years, have raised 3 children, moved 14 times, and thank God for His blessings and protection through out those years. Rick served in the Air Force and Air National Guard for 29 years before retiring in May, 2005. Early in Rick’s career our family spent 6 years in Europe where we were ministered to at the Hospitality House in Alconbury, England. We have great memories of being fed spiritually as well as physically, and of the fellowship, which meant so much to us while serving our country far from home. It is now our joy and honor to serve Christ and the men and women in our military as the House Directors here in Misawa. The challenges of living overseas for singles and families can be overwhelming and lonely. The Misawa Hospitality House is a Christ-centered Home Away From Home. We provide Bible studies, home cooking, time in prayer, fellowship, encouragement through Scripture, games, and music in a home atmosphere.
