Chris and Robyn met in the Newark New Jersey airport in 1983 on their way to do mission work in New York City.  They were married a few months later on June 9, 1984.  They have three children; Todd ( has been involved with the Bowdens’ ministry at the Lighthouse in Yukosuka, Japan )and Chad who are serving in the Navy and Justina who is attending a local University in the Nursing program.  Since 1995 Chris has been a Senior Pastor and since 1996 Robyn has been in social work.

Chris has a degree in Theology from C.L. Lane Bible Institute and Robyn has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.  They both have been involved in church ministry since they were married in 1984.  They both love traveling and have collectively been to 49 states and over 17 countries.

Chris and Robyn come to Cadence with a desire to share the love of Christ with the Military community.  Their lives have come full circle coming back to mission work after beginning their lives together in mission work.
